Raising a child is pure delight | Poem

in poetry •  18 days ago

In the gentle dawn of tiny days,
A seed is planted, tender and slight,
With hopes that bloom in curious gaze,
And dreams that dance in morning light.

A whisper soft, a guiding hand,
Through storms of doubt, through skies of gray,
With patience vast as desert sand,
We nurture dreams along the way.

Each laugh a song, each tear a rain,
That helps the roots grow deep and strong,
In love’s embrace, through joy and pain,
We teach the child where they belong.

To rise with courage, fall with grace,
To seek the stars, yet keep their ground,
A sacred gift, this childhood space—
A world of wonder, waiting to be found.

And in the end, when they take flight,
Our hearts will hold their gentle trace,
For raising a child is pure delight—
A lifelong gift, a sacred grace.
