These are cut trees. We didn’t actually cut them ourselves. These trees are often found in various places, especially in cultivated lands. When crops are harvested, these small trees or shoots remain in the field.
If they are not cut early, they start to grow. But if we cut them while they are still small, they don’t grow further. However, many times they are not cut, so they continue to grow and later become a bit of a problem — they can prick hands or feet and cause minor injuries, and then need to be removed.
So, when jackfruit saplings like these grow in the field, they should be cut down when there's a chance. Many people do cut them. We saw such cutting work done in a fallow cultivated field, and the cut pieces were still lying there.
