Cryptid Hunter Guide - Nova Pack Purchase System

Cryptid Hunter team shared some important announcements about the current status and future plans of the Steem version. One of the more exciting updates is the planned addition of a Nova-based card pack purchase system.

This feature has already been rolled out on Telegram, and based on how things are going, it looks like the Steem version is preparing to follow a similar path. So here’s a summary of the Nova-based packs that have been (or are currently) available on Telegram.

🃏 1. Promo Pack

At first, I assumed this pack might include several cards, but it actually gives just one card.

• There is a very low chance to get a Mystic card.
• The initial price was 750 Nova, which was over 1 TON at the time — quite expensive.
• Later, the price increased to 980 Nova due to the fall in Nova value.
• Still, it's a cheap option overall.
• I personally opened more than 40 packs — sadly, only Unique cards so far 😅

🔫 2. Limited Hunter Pack

• First released for 12,000 Nova, later reduced to 8,000 Nova.
• Includes:
  • 4 Hunter Packs
  • 5 Advanced Rare Enhancers
• Available for purchase once per week, just like the Starter Pack.

🎁 3. Limited Promo Pack

• Price: 5,000 Nova
• Includes:
  • 1 Promo Pack
  • 1 Support Pack
  • 5 Lucky Passes

📝 Note: This is currently the only Nova-based pack that includes a Support Pack.
The Support Pack included here is a single pack, compared to the 8 packs found in the Limited Support Pack below.

🔧 4. Limited Support Pack (TON-only)

• Price: 24 TON (⚠️ cannot be bought with Nova)
• Includes:
  • 2 Promo Packs
  • 8 Support Packs
• Most cards are level 2 or higher, with low mining power, so they're mainly used for fusion or materials.
• Legend and higher cards come as level 1.
• Initially available once per week, now purchasable every 5 days.

💡 Note: This is an upgraded version of the older Support Pack (which offered 10 packs for 22 TON).
The concept remains: useful for crafting and upgrading, especially due to the higher level base cards.

Final Thoughts

With Nova-based packs already being used on Telegram, the planned rollout of a similar system on Steem is something to watch closely.
