Greetings Stemians! How are you today? I hope you are as good as I am. I appreciate @xpilar for organising this beautiful contest title “Competition 91 - Flowers”. Today, I will show you the step-by-step process I have taken to draw a flower using a pencil.

A flower is a fragile blossom with petals that grows at the top of the stem of a plant. It is
also the part of a plant that produces seeds. Flower symbolises love, joy and pleasure, though they can also carry other meanings depending on the colour of the flower.

The material used for my drawing

  • White A4 paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Blade

Step 1
I began by drawing the petals of the flower.

Step 2:
I drew part of the stem and also drew some leaves.

Step 3:
I completed the flower stem and drew more leaves attached to it.

Step4:
Here, I shaded the petals and showed the anther of the flower.

Step 5:
I shaded the stem below the petals and also shaded the first set of leaves, which is at the centre of the flower. I first drew the midrib and veins of the leaves at this level, and then I shaded the leaves.

Step 6:
I shaded the remaining part of the stem, and I also shaded the last set of leaves. Here, I also drew the midrib the veins and concluded by shading the leaves.
