Before now there is this particular food known as Abacha I usually consume almost everyday because of the sweet, delicious taste and the alot of health benefits it provides such as it provides the body with healthy bones due to the high content of potassium, sodium, iron, phosphorus, it aids digestion and boosts immune system and again there's a way the woman am buying it from normally prepares it that attract me to buy even when i don't have much with me when i noticed this i reduced and minimize the way am buying it often to once or twice a week which took time before i adapt to it, the reason isn't that there is anything wrong with this meal but because this food is becoming too much and addicted to me that sometimes i don't even bother eating at home because of this particular street food and i will end up spending my money on this meal that would have served as savings to me.

Abacha food is been processed from boiled cassava tuber by slicing it into different shapes usually like salad after that it will be soaked in a bowl for a day before sun drying it to for immediate or future use.
Different spicies and ingredients are used to prepare this particular dish which makes it more delicious such as palm oil, seasoning cube, blended crayfish, salt, fresh or dry pepper, fried fish/ponmo, Uziza leaf also known as hot leaf, sliced fresh onion and garden egg.it's been referred or known as African salad, this is a type of local and cultural dish originated and mostly eaten by the Igbo's in the south eastern part of Nigeria my country.

Abacha is been regarded as street food because is mostly sold in the streets around the eastern part of my country Nigeria and I know that not just few but most of us likes eating street foods which is mostly convenient and affordable food for everyone, it's been referred are those meals and beverages prepared and/or sold by some food vendors in our streets and other public areas for quick and easy consumption without any further preparation or arrangement.

I will like to recommend this spicy and delicious local meal known as Abacha to other steemians mostly to people who don't know about it and those staying outside the south eastern part of Nigeria where it is mostly prepared and i believe there will love it because it's very delicious and spicy which can as well contribute to their health benefits at last.

Street food as a whole is very good to consume in as much it is well prepared but the problem associatedwith it is that most of the people that sells it are less hygienic and they showcases improper food handling by exposing it to the public and passer by which can increase the risk of food contamination and the transmission of different diseases such as bacteria, viruses, and parasites if care is not taken.

I have finally come to the end point of this amazing food diaries and review contest which I like to appreciate the organizer @artist1111 for this astounding contest as well as respectfully call on the attention of my fellow steemians @josepha @simonnwigwe @edgargonzalez to take part in this contest as well.

Delicious and touching post.
YouGot the real picture of Abacha, its cultural worth, its un resistible flavour and even the emotional pull of attempting to restrain the desire! I adore the way you managed to combine your affection to the dish with the realistic approach to the hygiene issues Street food is concerned with. That is why food storytelling is so full and close.

Well done, John! Continue to tell us about your yummy food adventures.
