From STEEM to STEEM Power: my first full power up experience.

Please permit me to share with you all my Week 05 mentorship session with @emmalex25 on the topic "How to Power Up and the Benefits of Powering Up."

I also used this opportunity to participate in the Powering Up STEEM to Steem Power contest.
This is my first month on this amazing and engaging platform. Every day, I learn something new and discover more about Steemit, all under the guidance of my mentor, @emmalex25.

First of all , the difference between STEEM and STEEM power

STEEM describe as a Liquid Token:

This is the regular, liquid cryptocurrency used on the Steemit platform which can be traded, exchanged or transfer to another user at any point in time on crypto exchanges for other cryptocurrencies or fiat money.

It is Flexible, easily spendable or withdrawable just like cash in your wallet.

This is a vested version of STEEM or may be described as "staked STEEM" or a long-term invested STEEM in the platform

It is not Flexible, or liquid it is an invested STEEM which you can’t spend it directly. To get it back as STEEM, you must do a “power down,” which takes few weeks to fully convert back to STEEM.

Powering up Increases ones influence on the Steemit platform.

The more SP you have, the more voting power you hold which means that your upvotes give more rewards to content creators, posts and engagement and also to yourself through curation rewards.

It Helps one earn more from your activities on Steemit like posting, commenting, voting, and participating in a contest.

To support the Steemit ecosystem.

To grow their account reputation and curation power.

So in my few weeks of joining in steemit network, To I am going to perform my first powering up action from my STEEM to STEEM power because I am here to give my best in this great Blockchain.

These were the steps took to power up my last 27.155 STEEM to STEEM power.

Before then I downloaded and registered on STEEM wallet . I click on my wallet , it has open, I saw different items, but for the purpose of this lesson session, which was power up.

After clicking on the small arrow head that is pointing down on STEEM, another icons poop up.

Transfer
Transfer to savings
Powerup
Trade
Market

I click on "powerup"

I was transferred another interphase with the following options
Convert to STEEM power
From @ my users id (vicvine25)
Amount.
With a power up option on the down part of it

I fill the necessary requirements needed and put the amount I wanted to power up. In this case it was all, the power up button was highlighted then I click .

It took me again to another interphase with this option:

From vicvine25 (my user id )
To vicvine25 (since it self powering up)
Amount
Memo. (At this point memo is not required)

Ok button was highlighted, and I click on 'Ok'

This final stage of the process required authorization to complete the transfer, so I had to enter either my Active Key, Owner Key, or Master Key.

I used my Active Key, and the powering up was completed successfully.

My STEEM Power, which was 76.9, has now increased to 104.2, and my available STEEM balance has dropped to zero (0) meaning I successfully powered up everything.

I truly enjoyed powering up my STEEM to STEEM Power because I’m here to stay on Steemit and grow with this amazing community.
