Everyday I felt so excited to work but not my time schedule since I had to wake up early so I will not be late. I belong to first shift so I had to come to school before 6 in the morning. Because of that I usually wake up at 4 in the morning to prepare the things as well as my baon and my little school girl.

Being a public school teacher is not just a profession but it is a calling wherein the hands are filled with dust, had to make lesson plans regularly and plenty of paperworks. We were also not dealing with our paperworks and stuff, we also dealt with the different traits and characteristics with kids from different environment.

I arrive a little early before our time in so I can still prepare my lesson and can let my students do their task in cleaning the classroom.

I start by opening my laptop and scroll my topic to be discussed while instructing the cleaners to start cleaning. Before my first class, I take a deep breathe and will always remind myself that I am not just teaching how to add and subtract but I am also shaping lives.

The day will officially start when the kids already seated on their chair waiting for their teachers. The moods of the kids vary, some were excited, some were happy sad and others were pale and sleepy. I've tried to learn how to read them so I can understand each ones beahavior. My lesson is about Math but I tried to relate to other aspects and tried to touch values, discipline, dreams and hope.

This is my journey as a public servant. I was marked not just by chalk dust but as well as every heartbeats of the children I serve everyday.

Thanks for reading. Inviting my friends @bisdako, @jes88 and @liamnov to share.

I salute you mam for teaching the x and y

You are doing well, @kyrie1234.
I must admit that teaching is a huge sacrifice for not just the school but also the nation at large. What you do every day goes beyond teaching young minds how to add and multiple. You are shaping minds. You are inspiring those kids to get better. You are contributing to their personal development.

No effort you make is wasted.
