Assalamoalaikum
This is me @isha-rehman and I hope you all are doing great and enjoying peaceful nights and delicious meals. Today I’m really excited to participate in a super fun contest that I could relate to so much"Nighttime Food Cravings". Let’s be honest we’ve all had that moment when the world goes quiet you're finally in bed and suddenly... your stomach decides it’s time for a snack party. Whether it’s a sweet tooth begging for chocolate or your inner foodie dreaming of something spicy cravings don’t care what time it is.
When Do My Craving Usually Start?

For me these craving usually strike around 11:30 PM especially on days when I have had a light or early dinner. And honestly it all depends on my mood. Sometimes I crave something simple and crispy like a freshly toast bread slice with butter or cheese and other times I need something spicy and satisfying like homemade wrap or toasted masala rotis. The worst part? The craving often come with energy I didnt have all day.
Aur sabse interesting baat yeh hai ke raat ke is waqt zyada cravings sirf meri hi nahi hoti mere bhai bhi usually isi waqt KFC ke spicy wings mangwa lete hain. 😅
Aur wo ham dono ke favourite hain Unki khushboo poore ghar mein fail jaati hai aur phir mera apna craving level double ho jata hai.

Do I Try to Resist or Give In?
I try to fight it I drink water walk around a bit or scroll through my phone. But my stomach always wins. My first thought is usually:
Let’s just make something quick and small… only 5 minutes.
But the truth is once I start cook I enjoyed the whole process and end up making something that feel like a mini midnight feast.
Homemade vs Instant Snacks
I personally prefer homemade snacks over package or fast food. I like to know what ingredient I am using and I enjoy making healthier version of my favorite. Plus it gives me a reason to be creative in the kitchen even late at night.
My Favorite Recipe: Cheesy Spicy Roti Wraped
This is my go to recipe when I want something cheesy crispy and fulled of flavored but dont want to spend too much timed or effort. It made with simple ingredient and takes just 10-12 minute to prepare.

Ingredients:
1 leftover roti
2 tablespoons grated mozzarella cheese
1/4 chopped onion
1/2 chopped tomato
A pinch of salt chili flakes oregano and black pepper
Green chili
A little butter
Method:
1.Heat a pan and place the roti on it.
2.On one half of the roti add chopped onion tomato cheese and spices.
3.Fold the roti in half to make a semi circle.
4.Add a bit of butter or oil to the pan and toast both side until the bread is golden and the cheese is melt.
5.Slice it served hot and enjoy the crispy cheesy goodness.
Is It Healthy?
Of course eating late at night isn’t the best habit. But when I do give in to my cravings I try to balance taste and health by making something fresh and light at home. I avoid deep-fried items and drink a warm glass of water or green tea afterward to help with digestion. I usually get these cravings 2–3 times a week especially when I stay up late studying or scrolling through recipes on Instagram.
Midnight cravings might not be the healthiest habit but they’re definitely one of life’s little joys. They give me a moment to enjoy my own company experiment with food and treat myself after a long day. Plus sharing these little storie with all of you make it even more special.
