It took a bit of persuading to get PEPE out of the Hot Tub today!🤔
Once I convinced my green friend that Silvertop was headed to the deepest, darkest, part of the forest, he was toweling off and ready for a hike!☺️
“Silbertop, I lead the way, PEPE very experienced hiker!”🐸
Hmmm……………..
“Are you sure my friend, the last thing we need is to get lost in the Wilderness!”😳
Getting lost can easily happen to the most skilled outdoorsman!😮
Here are a couple of easy to remember skills can help you in such difficult times!
First how much daylight do you have left?
Getting lost early in the day, isn’t as bad as wondering what direction to turn as the Sun is beginning to set!🙄
Simply hold up your hand to the Sun, and count how many fingers from the Sun to the horizon!
Each finger is approximately 15 minutes, so all four fingers would give you an hour before sunset!
Tip number two……….
If you are truly desperately lost, follow any creek or stream downhill, eventually it will reach civilization!😇
