What do you believe is the number one secret to a strong relationship?

 

Relationship is something that requires a lot of patience, understanding and support from both sides. We are all different and we all have our own point of view, opinion, interests and we all want something that we like, but when there are two or more people we have to listen to all the sides with respect, understanding and then agree on common decision.

It is also important not only to speak but to listen to each other and if needed we need to change ourselves in order to make the relationship to be stronger and for two parties to have a feeling of respect of each other.

 

What role does active listening play in building stronger connections?

 

When we have a conversation we want the partner to listen and all the signs of good listener are:

• looking into eye or face of speaker
• do not interrupt but let the speaker to speak till the end
• when listening then it is important to ask questions according the subject
• also it is important to give an advise where possible
• this kind of active listening also important to do by both parties

Only a good, active listener shows respect, good manner and interest in the personality of a partner.

 

Can a relationship survive without forgiveness? Why or why not?

 

To be kind and understanding is very important, in our every day life we do something wrong sometimes small stuff and often we do not ask for forgiveness. There are many small and not really important stuff but there could be serious problem and in such situation it is important openly to discuss so that both could help each other. Therefore, being honest, open and understanding but also to be able to forgive will make the relationship stronger.

 

What’s a common mistake people make in relationships that weakens them over time?

 

It is always difficult to judge relationship of different people, we are all different and we behave differently too. But commonly it is important to be open, supportive, helpful to each other. Do not have secrets and also if there is any difficult situation better to speak up and to share it with partner, that usually make relationship stronger and t he problem less difficult for both parties. Respect and support are very important that help to keep our relationship as strong as in early stage of relationship.
