As a diligent documenter and article writer, I always make it a point to capture the moments of my daily life. The Holly Book says; "in everything, we should give thanks to God, our creator". Today, July 28th, was no exception.
My day began like any other day, I arrived my office by 8:09 am. After tidying up, I dived into my design job, working on an invitation letter and request for sponsorship for the youth leader of United Evangelical Church. Amidst this, I attended to minor printing, photocopying, and passport printing tasks.

However, my supposed productive day was abruptly interrupted at 12:15 pm. My generator suddenly tripped off, bringing my work to a stop. I quickly ruled out petrol as the cause, knowing I had put enough fuel in the morning.
I attempted to restart the generator, but it refused to start. With no choice, I reached out to my technician, explaining the situation. Unfortunately, he was tied up with other customers' generators and couldn't come to my office.
He suggested I should transport the generator to his workshop, promising to repair it. Upon arriving at his workshop, the technician scrutinized the generator before diagnosing the issue and discovered that rings was faulty resulting in damaging the piston, and also said that I needed to put fresh engine oil.
The repair estimate comprising the spare parts, engine oil and his workmanship came out to Seventeen Thousand Naira (17,000.00), approximately 79 steem. I paid the required amount, and he went and procured the necessary spare parts and oil.
The technician got to work, The breakdown had taught me a valuable lesson: the importance of having backup equipment in the office.
Regrettably, the disruption had already cost me several clients and jobs. But my financial constraints couldn't afford a substitute generator at present.
Finally, by 7:20 pm, the technician had fixed the generator and tested it for me to ensure it was functioning properly.
I returned the generator to my office and closed up for the day, and headed home. Though the day had been hectic and disappointing, I was grateful to have resolved the issue. Tomorrow would bring new opportunities, and I'm happy that I will have a sound generator to start tomorrow's operations with.
Thank you for going through my post. Do have a great time ahead.
