"SLC-S25/W5-Movie Snapshots| Animated Magic(Tom and Jerry )"

I am here to participate in this new contest of week 5 organised in this community where everyone are expected to write about an animated film that keep them laughing and feel excited all day. So here is my participation.

What are animated movies or film?

Animated movies or film are normally based on different series of object, individuals and animals images that are created through handwriting and computer graphics. This technique is manipulated so that the images are seen moving from one place to another. Creators can paint the animation with different colors to make it look amazing on our television screens. It is specifically based on entertainment, where many kids as well as older people usually enjoy watching it with their families. Examples of animated films include Tom and Jerry, Turbo, The Lion King, Spirited Away, and so on.

Animated movies for kids are often the first films they will likely watch at earlier age because they are so interesting and enjoyable. Through animated films or cartoons, some kids learn to speak English and other languages. Tom and Jerry is a cartoon that was popular in our era; I watched it around the age of 4 or 5. Even today, I still watch that cartoon because it's a comedy based on a series created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera in 1940. This cartoon became so popular because it involves two characters: Tom, a cat, and Jerry, a mouse.

This animated series typically features a rivalry where it sometimes leads to the destruction of property. Tom, a house cat, keeps pursuing Jerry, trying all his efforts to catch him but never succeeds. Jerry is very clever; whenever we watch it, we keep laughing because it's a violent cartoon where Jerry may use axes, hammers, and tricks to outsmart Tom. However, when Tom seeks revenge, it leads to something more brutal.

Which age group prefers the animated film you have seen above and say why?

The age group that prefers animated movies is children under 12 years because of the stories and happiness they would derive from the animated films. Young adults in the age bracket of 12-18 years also like them because of the joy they give at that moment while watching the cartoons. The Tom and Jerry animated movie is also loved by older adults for its jokes and the sudden violence without anyone getting injured in the process. All those fantasy characters also make someone keep watching them over and over again.

I remember when the Nigerian Television Authority showed different series of cartoons for us every weekend; in fact, most parents liked to watch them as well because they entertained them as well as also contributed to child development and upbringing.

Mention some of the challenges you went through while watching the animated film if there was no challenge, tell us the things that interest you In the movie

As children, we find cartoons more interesting because they help us become more familiar with animals as well as recognize letters and numbers, especially those cartoons that are based on educational aspects.

Cartoons educate children and support one another, motivating viewers not to relent and encouraging them to continue pursuing their dreams. Watching cartoons in those days was amazing because they exposed us to different cultures and traditions that will be useful to us in the near future.

Additionally, watching cartoons is full of fun, and they also teach us as children what is right and wrong. At this stage, I am still watching cartoons; recently, I watched an animated movie titled Turbo. I gained a lot from the movie because it inspired me to never belittle anyone, as tomorrow may soon be their turn for success.
