The Animal Life Map #3 – Rongpur Zoo, (Rongpur Sadar)

Dear friends, I hope everyone is doing well. I am also doing well, thanks to Allah's countless blessings. I would like to share with you about a zoo located in the northern part of our Bangladesh. The name of the district is Rangpur, and it is situated in the city within Rangpur district. I visited this zoo and tried to take some pictures to present to you. First, I would like to share with you the entrance of this zoo.

As far as I have learned, this is the second largest zoo in Bangladesh and the biggest in the northern region. The zoo covers an area of 21.51 acres (8.70 hectares). There is an abundance of greenery and grass here. This zoo is located on the east side of Hanumantala Road next to the Rangpur Police Lines Road. It is not very far from the district administration office. Rangpur Zoo is one of the recreational centers of the city and there is much to see here. I will present to you some of the animals here. To enter, I have to buy a ticket.

This place has quite a few plants, and these greenery-covered plants are spread throughout the entire zoo. When I first entered, there was a beautifully constructed road in the middle that people could use to walk. There are paths all around for people to enjoy and have fun with various animals. I first entered through that middle road and started enjoying it.

If we search in geography, we can learn about various types and times regarding this zoo. However, by the year 2025, I will update you about my personal experiences. The zoo has more than 30 species of animals. Among them, notable ones include the Bengal tiger, lion, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, deer, monkey, cheetah, bear, and python from the Sundarbans. Additionally, there are various species of birds such as myna, parakeet, cockatoo, pigeon, heron, and peacock. Below, I have provided captions along with some photos of the animals and birds I have seen.

	Here are the various qualities and features available inside this zoo. The entrance fees for them are important, the main point is the citizen charter.

The manatee, which lives in the water. It mostly stays submerged.

The parrot, which is caged.

Monkey. The best joyful creature I've seen is the monkey.

Get up bird, which looks very big.

Deer. Whose beauty is always unparalleled, this is possibly a deer calf.

Donkey. When we were young, teachers used to call students donkeys. Today I saw a donkey.

Zebra, whose name I have read many times in books. I have never seen it in front of me.

Peacock. A bird that I really love and enjoy looking at because it is very beautiful.

This bird is called the maybe ud bird. That's all I remember from what I saw.

Here, I have presented to you what I have seen and observed with my own eyes, and the pictures I have taken. However, there are many more animals here whose pictures I could not take or did not have the necessary system for. For example, there was a tiger, and the cage was designed in such a way that it was very difficult to capture it on camera. There were also lions and snakes, which made it difficult for me to capture them as well.

Overall, the zoo has several attractions, including an amusement park, restaurants, a mosque, and beautiful spots for children. However, I have discussed the zoo with you all. According to the information provided by Google, I feel that this could indeed be one of the largest zoos in the country. Take care, everyone.
