Dear friends, admins, and all community moderators. A few nights ago was a historic night for us, the community at the Blang Dalam Mosque. As I recall, just last night, Sunday night, the Peusijuek (gathering) event for the new mosque imam and committee members took place. This event took place at our village mosque after the Isha prayer.
This Peusijuek (gathering) activity was held solely to seek blessings for the new mosque imam and committee members in carrying out their duties going forward. This event was organized on the initiative of the new mosque committee, in collaboration with all the community members who reside within this mosque.
We made this event as good as possible with a well-designed program. The one who opened the event or protocol was myself as secretary of the mosque prosperity committee. This was followed by the reading of holy verses from the Koran and badar prayers, which were chanted by one of the qori in our village.
Then came the Manepung Tawari or Peusijuek event for the mosque imam and the new committee, which was conducted by one of our professors, who also delivered the recitation every Saturday night.
This was followed by a souvenir presentation and award ceremony for the former imam of the mosque, recognizing his dedication as imam for approximately 33 years. The former imam was then invited to offer a few words of farewell and encouragement to the new imam and the new committee.
Next, we invited the newly appointed imam to deliver a few words. We also invited one of the mosque's prosperity committee advisors to share his advice and encouragement to the new committee members.
The final event was a closing address and prayer delivered by our professor, Abati. After the professor delivered his advice and prayer, we took a group photo to commemorate the success of this event.
