I hope Everyone is well by the grace of Allah. Alhamdulillah, I am also very well. Today I appeared to participate in the ongoing One picture, A thousand stories... In this photo, we see a child sleeping on the street and another child sitting next to him, in fact, they are street children.
Street children are those children who have to live on or near the street as a place of residence or livelihood. Usually, children become street children due to poverty, domestic violence or natural disasters.

Street children are victims of a difficult reality, living on the street exposes them to violence, sexual abuse and other risks. Being on the street, they do various jobs to make a living, such as begging, picking up garbage, or selling things. They are far from their basic needs, security, health and educational opportunities, which makes their future uncertain. Street children are subjected to various forms of physical and psychological abuse. Many of them are also victims of sexual abuse. In addition, they are at risk of hunger, malnutrition, disease and various types of crime.

According to the United Nations, there are an estimated 150 million street children in the world, the exact number of whom is difficult to estimate because government agencies cannot reach them. The future of street children is often uncertain. They cannot escape poverty and precarious living conditions due to lack of proper facilities and protection.
For these reasons, a concerted effort by all members of society is needed to improve the lives of street children. They should work to meet their basic needs, ensure their safety, and create opportunities for education to brighten their future.
