Hello friends, it is my pleasure to be here, I am so happy and I want to share my happiness with us.

I have been on my own, I never knew that God was working out something good for me.

On Tuesday of this week, someone with a strange number chatted me on Whatsapp and at first I wanted to ignored because I can't remember giving anyone my contact.

This message pop in since Tuesday morning and I had to open it on Tuesday evening because I was busy with church program.

So opening the chat, I saw a message that I should send in my full details
At first I thought it was bank account details not until I looked properly and I saw pictures too.

So friends I quickly did without asking questions what he needed it for, this was quite unlike me, I would have ask a lot of questions.

After sending him my details, he then send me an invitation for executive meeting. Yo me I was like what kind of executive meeting, what leadership is this because I can't remember holding any positions in the state. Something in me ask me not to ask questions until I go for the meeting.

The meeting was 10am on Friday morning, so I woke up so early, arranged my dress. Thank God there was light so I iron my dress and I took my bath. At 9am I have finished dressing up, put on my color wig without makeup, I was good to go.

The venue of the meeting was Hilltop hotel which is located at 4 lanes opposite monty suite.

Getting there, it was not 10 am yet, so I ask around the hotel to know the exact place the meeting will be holding and I was directed to the garden. Reaching there, only Three people were seated so I join them, then by 10:30am the meeting commence.

Around table was set for the meeting and alot of leaders were there from Abuja.

The meeting started with an opening prayers and then the chairman gave his remark, we all introduce ourselves with positions but since I didn't know my position I only introduced myself and my local government and then the chairman check his book and he told me that I was appointed as the women leader representing Eket Senatorial district, I was like waooo, not even local government coordinator.

Akwa ibom State is made up of 31 local government and under this local government, it is divided into 3 Senatorial district which is, Uyo Senatorial district, Eket Senatorial district and Ikot ekpene Senatorial district.

So each Senatorial district, there are women's leader and I happened to be Eket Senatorial district women's leader. 12 local government are reported to me and I am reported to the state coordinator and the state coordinator reports to the national. Honestly this was a very big win for me. Up till now I don't know who put my name there because at the meeting I don't know any one.

YOUTH TRANSFORMATION is a platform where the youth are been taking care of, the organization is not a government organization but an NGO that will be given out grants to the youth. YOUTH TRANSFORMATION is not a political groups that play politics but the governor can seek for our help and before we listen to them, they have to empower the youth. Do guys YOUTH TRANSFORMATION is an empowerment platform. It is not a state organization but national organization. Is a registered organization and we are planning on going for a courtesy visit to all the governors in Nigeria. On the 18 of this month we are visiting the Akwa ibom State commissioner for youth and sports.

So my congratulations message was send to the group and I was added to leadership group immediately.

It's my pleasure to introduce Mercy Richard Ayang, a dedicated and passionate leader who has taken on the role of Woman Leader for Eket Senatorial District. As a 32-year-old mother of four, Mercy's journey is marked by resilience and determination. She's a successful business owner, running a thriving onion supply business that caters to the needs of the masses.

Mercy's educational background includes attending Janet International Nursery and Primary School in Uta Ewa village, Ikot Abasi LGA, and Okay Secondary Commercial School, Ikot Osukpong, where she completed her WAEC in 2013. Currently, she's pursuing a program at the Open University.

As a widow, Mercy's story is one of courage and perseverance. Despite facing challenges, she remains committed to her family and community. Her leadership role in the Eket Senatorial District Women Forum demonstrates her passion for empowering women and contributing to the growth and development of her district.

In her role as Woman Leader, Mercy aims to inspire and uplift others, particularly women, to reach their full potential. Her dedication to promoting women's participation in politics and leadership is evident in her work. By empowering women and providing them with opportunities for growth, Mercy believes that Eket Senatorial District can become a model for women's empowerment and leadership ¹.

I am so happy for the recognition, imagine me sitting with those big faces.
This organization will help me shape my life, I will be exposed to top personalities in the state and national.
