Avocado pear is a pear-shaped fruit that has a rough leathery skin, smooth, and edible flesh. This fruit also can be referred to as an alligator pear which is botanically a large berry containing a single large seed. Avocado pear contain a good amount of magnesium, which has a calming effect on the body and promotes quality sleep. Eating avocados is very healthy, universal and it goes well with bread, rice, salads, topping on eggs, etc.
Health Benefits Of Avocado Pear
Avocado pears has many health benefits because of their rich nutrient, including healthy fats, fiber, and vitamins. These benefits range from the following points below;
β’ Heart Health. Avocados are high in healthy fats, which helps to lower bad cholesterol levels and reduces the risk of heart disease.
β’ Potassium. Avocados are a good source of potassium, which can help lower blood pressure, reduces inflammation and potentially reducing the risk of disease found in the heart.
β’ Brain Protection and health. They contain vitamin E and antioxidants, which helps to protect the body against cognitive and Alzheimer's disease.
β’ They are rich in folate, which is very important for the brain function and helps to reduce depression and support fetal health during pregnancy.
β’ They are high in fiber which promotes healthy digestion, reduces constipation, and improves digestive health. It's fiber and healthy fats contribute to feelings of fullness which helps to maintain weight management.
β’ Skin Health. The vitamins C and E in avacados are essential for healthy skin and helps to protect the body against damage from UV radiation.
β’ Improved Nutrient Absorption: Avocados can help your body absorb more nutrients from other foods. They are also good source of vitamin K, which is important for bone health.
In Conclusion, while avocado's are good for health, but not too much consumption of it. Avocado qualifies as a superfood, but like anything else, it is best to consume in moderation.
