My Pot Of Vegetable Soup
It is nice to report how we have we spent our day or the activities entails how we spent our day. I really love this idea sharing how our day is spent. If for any other other reason, it's nice for steemians here to really show how active they are, by sharing their real day engagements with other steemians here.
For me here, I find it fine to share my activities. What I have to share in this game is how I took time to prepare a vegetable soup.
When it comes to kitchen issues, women often comes to mind. They are regarded as the ‘kitchen champions' as they are expected to know every bit about the kitchen. But now, the reverse has become the case. Men are now becoming mostly taking the charge concerning kitchen matters as we are now seeing them becoming chefs. These men chefs are now taking the leads in the preparation of the meals that even the female folks can not resist to eat.
I am not a chef and I am not dreaming to be one in the near future. But then, this would not stop me from going to the kitchen when no one is unavoidably absent. My background has made me to be in such that, the men in the family have to find themselves what to eat in the absence of the women. This is so because we are more of men than women in the family. As the women are married out, the men have no option than to learn how to prepare meals themselves to ease our mother the burden of cooking.
Today, I prepared a pot of vegetable soup which I have intended to share to this wonderful community as my diary game in this competition.
To start with, this delicacy is prepared with some ingredients to make it a nutritious meal. First and foremost as I normally do, I went to my farm and brought some vegetable(pumpkin leaves). After I carefully removed the leaves from the stem, I now washed to remove some sands and other dirts. After that, I started to cut it.
After the cutting, I now made the ingredients to available to prepare the meal. To prepare this delicacy, the following ingredients were used:
- Crayfish
- Meat
- Pepper
- Salt
- Cubes
- Kpomo
- Palm Oil
- Dry fish
- Melon
I made the soup by first frying the ingredients. I poured some Palm oil into the pot and after few seconds of getting heated, I started adding the crayfish, pepper,dry fish and cubes. I stired it and left for few minutes.
After about one and half minutes, I then poured the water used in boiling the meat into the fried ingredients and also stired it, then covered it. I left to boil for up to ten minutes I now poured the leaves into the soup and turned it. I left f
it to boil for additional seventh seconds when I now brought it down from the fire. At this point, Food is ready.
To enjoy the soup, I used ebba which I referred as“ king of the African Dish.* It was so nice to have prepared this delicious meal eaten with ebba.
This is my account of how I spent my day. It was interestingly fun.
