For my entry, I drew a character from the Mecha Anime series known as Patlabor.
My character has a head that looks like an helmet because they are generally made to carry out engineering labor (work or job).
Patlabor (or Mobile Police Patlabor) is a Japanese anime franchise created by the group Headgear, featuring a police force equipped with giant robots called "Labors" for law enforcement. The series is known for its focus on the characters and their daily lives within the Special Vehicles Section 2, rather than solely on action sequences. Patlabor has been adapted into multiple anime series, OVAs, movies, and even a live-action adaptation, exploring its world and characters across different formats.
This is a video of the drawing process;
For a start, After carefully marking out horizontal and vertical lines to guide me while I draw, I sketched out the image lightly with a HB pencil..

These are two images showing when I was almost done with the sketch and when I was done with it.

The next thing I did was to detail it by making the sides and edges thicker and darker.
So, I sharpened my 2B pencil and used it to deepen the sides and edges. As you can see in there images below.
The sketch line appears more visible.
Without shading, I can choose to submit it like this.
But no,😂😂.
I can't take the risk.

So, like I Said, I did some shading using my 2B pencil.
The 2B pencil is darker than the HB . That's why I like using it to shade.
But as time goes on, I'll make sure I buy other varieties of pencils and tools to make drawing more easier for me.
In the two images below, you can zoom in to see that I was clearly done with the shading. Then I used a cotton cloth to blend it and make it look smooth. I really need to buy tools😂
