Colorado Trip: Saint Catherine's Chapel on the Rock | Just East of Rocky Mountain National Park

Hello all, it's been a while since my last post. Much has changed, but that's a story for another day. Today, I wanted to share some pictures from a recent trip I went on to see a high school friend. I was invited out to Colorado last month and had some paid sick time, so I figured, why not?

I have tons of other pictures from the trip that I'm still going through, but I wanted to share a few from the Saint Catherine's Chapel on the Rock located in Allenspark, Colorado, which is just east of Rocky Mountain National Park, a place that I didn't even know existed until a few weeks ago.

The best part about this place is that it remains a functioning Catholic Church in the same way it has since 1936, when it was first commissioned as Camp St. Malo. My photos do not do this work of art justice; make sure to check out their website.

It's hard not to be completely in awe when in the presence of ole' Mighty Mount Meeker in the background. Colorado boasts amazing scenery, and this might be the best of it...by far.

The next morning, I was disappointed that I hadn't taken enough snaps of the church, so we headed back in that direction, only to immediately find out that the fog had ruined our mountainous shots for the day. Not to worry, I managed to capture more snaps of the Chapel in all its glory, despite my camera skills being far below the novice stage.

Needless to say, this trip was an amazing adventure. I'll make sure to share more photos the moment I have some more free time later this weekend. Cheers everyone!
