Discovering a New Retro Gem: My First Dive into Steem RetroGames.

Being a so-called game fan, I am constantly searching the helpful and exciting places to visit. I recently came across Steem RetroGames, so today and this had been a great discovery frankly speaking! The platform gives excellent amalgamation of retro arcade feels and the new sense of the Steem blockchain.

I made up my mind to jump in and take a shot at it and I am very happy that I did. The initial game I tried was "Steem Pong" -the reference to the classic by all means, the game of Pong. To begin with, I can tell that I was slightly confused with some of the screeners at the beginning. The different icons and the layout as a whole were difficult to understand and get used to but within a short period, everything made sense. The goal is obvious: do not allow the ball to go by your paddle and score those points.

The interesting thing about Steem Pong, however, are new aspects brought to the game. Little flag icons, clock icons, and Steem letters in a form of a letter S are popping up and they all apparently influence gameplay in various ways. So this brings element of strategy and also surprise that keeps you on your toes. Some of such aspects are visible in Screenshot where I am in the midst of action to ensure that my score is always going up.

My first efforts were a bit crude as you see in my first "Game Over". That is the beauty of retro games, isn t it? They stimulate you to continue, to become better and to score more. That I did just like that, Performance with a bit additional training Let alone with some more training, I was also able to raise my score considerably to a whopping 516, as you can see in Screenshot . The joy of higher score appearing before the eyes is sweet.

Steem RetroGames is an exciting interesting place to have fun. You need to play not only; you must enjoy tradition-fresh games like classics but powered by a blockchain technology. I think it is worth a visit, especially if you are a game enthusiast, particularly, one, who finds amusement in old-time games. I can wait to see what more Coming Soon kinds of games will be introduced.
