It has been a few weeks since my last garden time-lapse, and things are growing like crazy, so it's time for another! Check this out...
That's today, heading into the second half of 2025.
But how about a summary of the year so far? Here we go:
Hmmm, it sure felt like more work than it looks like there! Nature does a lot of it, but without the gardener, it's not quite the same. Call it a partnership.
I like watching one spot through the whole clip, seeing how it changes in 6 months. The various rows, the edges, the lilac tree, etc.
Speeding it up helps see the overall trends more clearly:
If I shrink the size down, I can make a time-lapse using every photo I've taken of this garden since the very beginning. That's hundreds of photographs, taken since April 2023 (27 months).
Months coming and going in seconds...

This year's weather is turning out different than the past two - cooler, dimmer, and wetter. More normal for this part of the world. That's good for the peas and lettuce, not so much for the tomatoes. But that's part of the challenge, rolling with the punches, capitalizing on strengths. If it's wetter, I'll have to fight the snails, but I won't have to worry about certain flying pests. Tradeoffs! We'll see what comes next. And I'll be sure to record it and let you know, whether you want it or not! Now, I'd better go and have another salad...
Grow in peace.
