Entraron en el casco de la fragata a través de una fractura, cercana al puente de mando, justo donde cientos de años atrás, el impacto de un proyectil de plasma, perforó el blindaje electromagnético y causó la descompresión de la nave, obligando a la tripulación a acelerar su evacuación. ―En esa dirección está el puente ―dijo Boris, mientras en su campo visual se indicaba la presencia de varios objetos que flotaban en el pasillo, al que había accedido, entorpeciendo la visibilidad, al mismo tiempo que la ruta, a través de ellos, le era señalada por un vector. ―Te sigo ―respondió Ingmar. Flotaron impulsados por pequeñas explosiones de gas, que eran eyectadas de los propelentes de sus piernas, brazos y torso, siguiendo la dirección señalada por el vector de direccionamiento. Tras atravesar el pasillo, se encontraron en el puente, los cuerpos momificados del capitán y dos de los tripulantes, permanecían aferrados a sus asientos por los cinturones. ―Ellos son el capitán Leopoldo Ivanov, la teniente Bianca Chung y el alférez Robert Simon, fueron los últimos en la nave, se quedaron a mantener el fuego sobre el enemigo y la estabilidad de la nave, mientras el resto de la tripulación evacuaba ―comentó Boris, mientras detenía su impulso, justo sobre el asiento del capitán. ―Yo descargaré la información de la computadora, mientras tu levantas el cuerpo de capitán, luego ambos levantaremos los de la teniente y el alférez ―dijo Ingmar sombrío―. ¿Te parece bien? ―Sí, de acuerdo. Ingmar flotó hasta la estación de pilotaje de la nave, donde estaba situado el alférez Simon, y se apoyó en el panel, sujetándose con una mano, mientras de la muñeca de su otro brazo, un conector se proyectó y viajo en dirección a un puerto en el panel, luego de lo cual el tablero se iluminó cobrando vida. Mientras tanto, Boris, con el mayor cuidado posible desabrochaba el cuerpo del capitán de su asiento y desplegaba una funda para transportarlo, luego con delicadeza procedió a rodearlo con la película de la funda, para luego activar el control de ajuste, la funda se adaptaría al cuerpo y le enderezaría su posición dejándolo completamente recto, como si estuviese recostado en una superficie firme. Luego de terminar de descargar la información de la computadora y de recuperar los cuerpos, ambos se dirigieron de vuelta a su nave, situada a pocos kilómetros de la malograda fragata. Entraron a través de la compuerta de la bahía de carga, la cual había dejado abierta, introdujeron los cuerpos de los oficiales en tres de los dieciséis compartimientos, de una suerte de panal que ocupaba casi la mitad del espacio de carga de la nave y luego cerraron la compuerta. ―Reencontrémonos ahora con la Apolo, estos tres oficiales ya podrán regresar a sus hogares, para que reciban un servicio honorable ―dijo Boris. ―Lo más lamentable de todo esto, es que no sabemos si puede suceder nuevamente ―comentó Ingmar La nave de recuperación activó su motor de impulso espacio temporal, acelerando a 200 kc. Luego de varias horas de viaje, salieron de impulso a varios cientos de kilómetros de la estación GB01, donde se encontraba la Sexta Flota de Apolo, resguardando el puente al territorio Inu, en el brazo exterior. Frente a ellos, vieron como cientos de destellos rodeaban a la flota, mientras del interior de uno de los acorazados grandes llamaradas, parecía emerger por indistinguibles aberturas. ―¿¡Qué demonios ocurre!? ―exclamó Ingmar.
