General Context of the Challenge

Hello Steemians!

Welcome to the third week of the Community World Tour – Season 25. After tasting our traditions and celebrating our rituals, it’s time to look outward to the lands that surround us and the silent guardians of our cultures: the landscapes and sacred sites.

This stage is not about sightseeing. It’s about telling the deeper story behind a natural or symbolic place that holds meaning, memory, or mystery—whether it’s a mountain, a river, a tree, a monument, a ruin, or even a forgotten path. These places speak, and this week, we listen.

What you must share

Each participant is invited to post an original and personal story about a landscape or a site that carries symbolic, emotional, cultural, or spiritual significance. Don’t choose just any location, choose one that is alive in your memory or imagination.

Describe what makes this place unique in the eyes of your community or yourself. Share with us a legend tied to this land, a personal story that happened there, a collective memory, a ritual, or a local belief. Is it a sacred hill where elders come to pray? A rock said to bring fortune? A ruin where your ancestors lived? A river where summer songs are sung? We want to travel through your voice and feel the silence, the wind, or the echoes.

Your narrative should explore how this place shapes your local identity, inspires awe or peace, and continues to speak across generations. The goal is not just description and it is immersion.

Geographic Location on SteemAtlas

You must include the exact location of the site or landscape (village, mountain, valley, river, region, coordinates...) and place a pin on the SteemAtlas map. This step is essential to build our collective map of meaningful places across the world.

Required Media: Photos, Drawing, and Video

Your entry must include:

• At least one original photo of the site.
• A hand-drawn sketch or symbolic outline of the place (map, shape, symbol...).
• A mandatory video uploaded via Speak on Steem, showing either:
  • A panoramic shot of the site,
  • A voice recording where you tell the story,
  • Or ambient sound (wind, birds, crowd, bells, etc.).

The video must be embedded in your post using the direct Speak on Steem link.

The "TYPE LESS SMILE MORE" gesture

At the end of your post, include a short, symbolic or poetic sentence that captures the spirit of the place you presented. It can be something you heard, imagined, or felt. For example: “Even the wind here remembers the past.” or “This rock has more patience than men.”

Once your post is published, we encourage you to visit other participants’ entries. This week, try to find sites similar to yours and compare meanings: Does someone’s forest remind you of your valley? Does a mountain in Asia echo a story from your homeland?

Comment thoughtfully, ask questions, and spark discussion. Use SteemAtlas as your compass to connect with others.
