Chilika Lake is the second largest lake in the world and is the largest wintering ground for migratory birds, on the Indian sub-continent covering an area of over 1,100 km.And it is just 2 hours away from Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. Many people travel here during this time to enjoy the serenity of the place and this time we decided to spend couple of days at Chilika.

Though we could drive and cover both the places in one day, and come back, we decided to add some comfort and stay there for couple of days. So finding the perfect place to stay was the first thing to do, and [Swosti Chilika ](https://www.swostihotels.com/swosti-chilika-resort) Resort was the best option that I could find at nearby places. Its a luxury eco-resort that provides all the amenities along with amazing foods that made our two days journey truly memorable.

You will feel like not coming back from there. And if all these were not enough, they have got a nice restaurant named Orana which has also got a nice bar. They take care of every minute need and prepare anything that you prefer, apart from the regular menu items on the table.
