The Prompt

I am looking for a science fiction/horror/fantasy (fiction of any sort) story, featuring a visit to the last forest. I want to hear a story set at some point in the future, featuring the last [forest](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forest). Your story could be fantasy, horror, scifi, speculative, environmental, space age - the sky's the limit, as long as your story has roots in the last forest. Who visits the forest, why they visit, where last forest is, why/how is it the last forest, what the forest is like, the wider world in which this is set, that is all up to you. I would like a fictional story set in the future featuring a visit to the last forest. How or why it is the last forest is entirely up to you.
