As we approach the end of the year it is time once again for the annual Steemit Awards. This year we will be targeting four new categories for the Awards. To emphasize the importance of the Learning Challenge two of the Awards will be for Best Teacher and Best Student. Alongside these will be two other new categories - Best Contest Maker and Best All Rounder. The winners in each category will win very attractive votes from @steemcurator01 and @steemcurator02. --- --- ## The Steemit Awards Categories

This year the Awards will be in four new categories... ### Best Teacher

This will be for the teacher who has produced the best lessons, and been most helpful in their grading comments, in the Steemit Learning Challenge. --- ### Best Learner

This will be for the best student in the Learning Challenge. They should be consistent in taking on the homework tasks, across as wide a range of subjects as possible. And of course, they should be getting good grades in their homework tasks. --- ### Best Contest Maker

This will be for individuals who regularly make good contests. Over the year they should have produced a varied range of interesting contests, with good level prizes and high levels of participation. --- ### Best All Rounder

This Award is for the ‘Model Steemian’ - someone who regularly makes good quality and varied posts. They should also be making useful comments and responses. The Best All Rounder should also be building up their Steem Power, and generally helping with the progress of the platform. It is unlikely that anyone who has been active for less than a year, with a reputation under 70, and with less than 10,000 SP will be considered for this Award. --- --- ## The Steemit Awards Prizes

For each of the four categories there will be at least three winners who will each receive substantial prize votes from @steemcurator01 - with a top prize of a 100% vote. Depending on the quality and quantity of entries there may be additional prize votes from @steemcurator02. --- --- ## The Steemit Awards Nominations

We are inviting all members of the Steem community to make nomination posts. **You can nominate yourself or others, but you can only make one nomination for each category, and you should only make one nomination post.** For each category nomination you should explain in no more than 250 words why you think the person should win the award. **We are particularly keen to see supportive comments added to existing nomination posts rather than having multiple posts nominating the same people. This is not a voting system so the number of nominating posts for each person does not make any difference.** Nomination posts can be made in any language and must be submitted by 11.59pm UTC on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024. **The posts should include the tag #steemitawards2024 as one of the first 4 tags.** You should also include a tag for your country such as #nigeria or #indonesia. @steemcurator01 and @steemcurator02 will be voting on **some** of the best nomination posts as they come in. --- --- ## The Steemit Awards Winners

The Steemit Team will review all the nomination posts, and the supporting comments on them. From these posts and our observations over the past year we will select the winners for each category.
