For last Wednesday's meetup our #SteemPhilippines group did something different . . we headed to @jancharlest's house to celebrate his 22nd birthday 😊 This was an especially important birthday since @jancharlest is one of the co-founders of our @steem-ph project, [he was in attendance at our 1st #SteemPhilippines meetup](https://steem.com.ph/steem-philippines-or-1st-official-meetup-in-davao-city) and was also a founding member of our FB group chat before it was named #SteemPhilippines. ![Steem Philippines Meetup 20.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmReSuyHYZn5eMyLp93dgtQKKdqRxgcAu4zFVdVouChycx/Steem%20Philippines%20Meetup%2020.jpg)

Our online Facebook group chat was originally called @steemovers, and it was founded by @jemmanuel. Then in 2018, while @chrisrice was looking for online Facebook groups about #steem, he contacted @jancharlest after finding him in the @steemitdavao Facebook group. @jancharles invited him to the @steemovers group chat and from there, @chrisrice started getting active in the @steemovers group. Later that year @chrisrice bought the domains [Steem.com.ph](https://steem.com.ph) and [Steem.ph](http://steem.ph) among others, @jemmanuel renamed the @steemovers group #SteemPhilippines and after consistent talk about meeting in person, @jancharlest met with @chrisrice and @nathansenn on August 23rd, 2019.

@jancharlest has also been active in bringing new people to the #steem blockchain since he works at the [Remote Tasks Bootcamp in Davao](https://www.facebook.com/remotasksdavaobootcamp/) where he is exposed to a lot of young talent, especially IT graduates and software developers.

**THE PARTY:** The members of our group that joined in the birthday get together included @hiddenblade, @spintwister, @postnzt, @usveteran, @viverlie, @chrisrice, @emafe and of course the birthday celebrant, @jancharlest.
