How to play IBT PVP

Easy, once you see the IBT PVP Competition post, just read the story and follow the instructions. It's really, really easy to play - you just type the word !ibtbattle - and follow the bouncing ball

Every particpant will be able to choose their character class, just like the original IBT you can be a wizard, Archer or Warrior.

But be warned...In IBT PVP characters, creatures, even objects of our IBT past haunt us. Many of the enemies and even players of past IBT battles have returned to mess with our minds, kill us and stop us from leveling up. If you have played IBT in the past, you won't want to miss this.

When to play

Just keep an eye on your feed, It will launch sometime in the next 24 hours or so.

How to identify your character

Easy they are first created on the fly by @wizardzap, this is initiated by your first !ibtbattle command - you will have to choose the class, and after this the only command you will ever need to use is !ibtbattle (very simple game play eh :))

At any time you can identify your character as they will have your steemit name over their head

How to have a unique character

Well.. with this release you can if you like, but they will need to be built and imported into the IBT PVP world (there is a fee for doing this as the amount of time/effort is heavy).

However, Once built your custom character will replace the generic one issued to everyone and will be yours for any potential future IBT PVP battles. I don't currently expect people will want custom ones, but you never know.

How to win Steem

Well it's going to be a kind of race. Those who level their characters the quickest through battles will get the precious liquid Steem prizes.

Also, by playing IBT PVP, you will be entered into a lotto type system, where you could randomly win a big Steem prize.

Your odd's will improve the more you play by virtue of number of lotto tickets. In this sense if you do purchase credits (optional) you increase your odds exponetially of winning liquid Steem.

How to level up

Simple you just play. You attack, you level up! the only time you don't level up is if you attack and lose.

It is possible for you to level up rapidly by doing nothing. When a Steemian initiates an attack they will fight either an NPC, hero of IBT past, or another player.

If it's another player (the randomly selected player is yours) you may win the battle and level up by defending. It will make more sense when the game is launched.

Player have a limited number of credits (11 free credits). This represents the number of attacks you may try. The more successful attacks, the more your player levels up automatically.

Remember - Prizes will be issued to those whom reach levels the fastest.

How do I find my battle, the page is so large

haha, for our inaugural event we are going to try and make @archangel's number one spot for hit parade for the most number of comments on a post. better increase you ISP speed and download plans, cause this page is gonna be large :).

This of course can be improved with future IBT PVP, but this one has been designed to make a really large page! hehe. You can easily find your battle though, by only replying to the post and not your own replies, your battle will appear at the bottom of the page.

What about regular IBT

It's unclear when the regular IBT will run again. I had hoped to combine IBT PVP into the regular IBT, but the community has spoken and have asked I stop the development of IBT on Steemit and instead look to build it off platform. I have always build IBT with a view to add value to peoples steemit experience. The advice by several key players that it's no longer fit for Steemit, means it's time to stop.
