That gave me some insights as newcomer in steemit! I'm slowly stepping up in knowledge. Indeed it's a very complex system behind steemit the more i know the more it's obvious. It's well-thought-out design. Furthermore steemit is in continous development and the rules changing from time to time a litte bit. From what i learned so far: steemit is ahead of the pack respective other social media platform in terms of incentivizing good content which initiating a flood of mutual help and it's rollin' and rollin' and rollin'!

So that helps to build up such a positive and active community and nevertheless ask questions and discuss articles to learn more. I'm convinced that this positive energy helps us/steemit in the long term. It fulfills also the [**6 basic needs**](https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/240441) i learned from Tony Robbins: **1. Certainty/Comfort** - tomorrow there will be your steemit account there with your Blog, the community, your reputation, knowing there is a real outcome, fair and clear rules **2. Uncertainty/Variety** - every day i see new quality content to learn from and give me a new twist - sometimes so encouraging to get an idea for own new article **3. Significance** - to see the upvotes and comments with are real chance of income is really a driver also if you sometimes not creative enough or lacking of energy, the community pumps you up! **4. Love & Connection** - if someone likes your content he or she has some kind words for you or even you come together in a chat **5. Growth** - steemit does that in numerous ways not just to have followers and so called friends and Likes it much more than that i think, in the long term you can influence your life significantly if you're dedicated to steemit! **6. Contribution** - the feeling to give something away others need, useful content which others need is a great way to find fulfillment in life, yeahhh! - to give without expecting instant reward because it always comes but you don't know when To look from a personal and business perspective a major incentive in steemit is to build your influence with Steem Power, get Steem or Steem Dollars, being rewarded by other users or the system itself, it's selfsustaining and makes sense to support or to invest a part of my lifetime or even real money.
