Teams: Baseball is played between two teams, each with nine players. One team plays offensively (batting) while the other plays defensively (in the field).

The Out: A player can be eliminated (out) in several ways: if the batter is struck out (fails to hit the ball after three strikes), if a batter hits the ball and the defense catches it before it touches the ground, or if the defense catches the ball and touches a base before the runner.

End of the Game: The team that scores the most runs at the end of the nine innings wins the game.
