The one that, with a lot of Love and I have been developing since 2013. I must emphasize that life put me on this path and I discovered, over time, that helping others is the basis of my happiness. At the **Alzheimer Foundation of Venezuela Táchira Chapter (FAVTáchira)**, we are governed by an organizational system called **“The Network of Friends of the Brain of Táchira”**, which is built on the foundation of Solidarity, as a fundamental pillar of institutional interests. It is appropriate to point out that, according to the established order, all the members of our institution are **Volunteers**, that is, that the work carried out is **Humanitarian, non-profit work**, and for which no one receives economic remuneration. ![046_Concurso_Rally-500_Adicional_S2_15-03-2020_Fotos1y2.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZBmNCmggfr2KBasV89PqhQ26jAnP5AXRttCYPjR4gTUX/046_Concurso_Rally-500_Adicional_S2_15-03-2020_Fotos1y2.jpg) Anyone who contributes a benefit to the **FAVTáchira** and, therefore, to our target audience; **Alzheimer's Disease Patients, Family Members and Caregivers**; is considered a **Member** of the **Tachira Brain Friends Network**. Our firm intention is that, starting from a **Central Nucleus** located in **San Cristóbal**, we can create an extension in each of the 29 municipalities that make up our **Táchira State**, to gradually strengthen the network and reach the most remote corners of our entity, to in order to benefit those most in need, with our important **Service to Humanity**. The starting point to enter each municipality is the realization of a **Free Day of Detection of Alzheimer and Cognitive Impairment** that we organize in alliance with different institutions and **NGOs**, who accompany us in our great events. These days are the central event of our institution, and as such, they must be maintained over time, under the free scheme, since they represent the most relevant **Humanitarian Contribution** that the members of the **FAVTáchira** offer to the people of our region. Among them are: **a) Neurologists, Psychiatrists, and other specialties, b) Psychologists, c) Nursing Professionals, d) Therapists, e) Students from any of the aforementioned careers, and f) Volunteers of all kinds** to take care of the previous organization, in addition to logistics and food, throughout the event. All **Health Volunteers** are previously trained by the **Medical Directors** of the **FAVTáchira**, while the **Volunteers** for the rest of the activities are trained under my direction. So far, we have carried out **11 sessions**; 6 in **San Cristóbal**, and 5 in other municipalities; from 2013 to date. Ese que, con mucho **Amor**, vengo desarrollando desde el año 2013. Debo resaltar que la vida me puso en este camino y descubrí, con el tiempo, que ayudar a otros es la base de mi felicidad. En la **Fundación Alzheimer de Venezuela Capítulo Táchira (FAVTáchira)**, nos regimos por un sistema organizativo llamado **“La Red de Amigos del Cerebro del Táchira”**, la cual se construye sobre el cimiento de la **Solidaridad**, como pilar fundamental de los intereses institucionales. Es adecuado puntualizar que, según el orden establecido, todos los miembros de nuestra institución somos **Voluntarios**, es decir, que el trabajo realizado es una **Labor Humanitaria, sin fines de lucro**, y por el cual ninguno percibe remuneración económica. Todo aquel que aporta un beneficio a la **FAVTáchira** y, por ende, a nuestro público objetivo; **Pacientes con la Enfermedad de Alzheimer, Familiares y Cuidadores**; es considerado **Integrante** de la **Red de Amigos del Cerebro del Táchira.** Nuestra firme intención es que, partiendo de un **Núcleo Central** ubicado en **San Cristóbal**, podamos crear una extensión en cada uno de los 29 municipios que conforman nuestro **Estado Táchira**, para ir fortaleciendo la red y llegar a los rincones más apartados de nuestra entidad, a fin de beneficiar a los más necesitados, con nuestro importante **Servicio a la Humanidad**. ![046_Concurso_Rally-500_Adicional_S2_15-03-2020_Fotos7y8.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWHMVQAwJr6WFwP6dGowpM4hBBZVpknyEmZC6kcbnZ6i6/046_Concurso_Rally-500_Adicional_S2_15-03-2020_Fotos7y8.jpg) El punto de partida para ingresar a cada municipio es la realización de una **Jornada Gratuita de Detección de Alzheimer y Deterioro Cognitivo** que organizamos en alianza con diferentes instituciones y **ONG´s**, que nos acompañan en nuestros grandes eventos. Las **Jornadas Gratuitas de Detección de Alzheimer y Deterioro Cognitivo** son encuentros a los cuales se invita a todos los miembros de la comunidad, a partir de 45 años de edad, con el objeto de diagnosticar, por medio de encuestas y estudios médicos, el estado mental de la población, obtener una base de datos confiable sobre la incidencia de las **Demencias** en nuestra región, llevar a cabo **Investigación Científica** y planificar estrategias de cuidado y atención para los casos positivos. Esas jornadas son el evento central de nuestra institución, y como tal, deben mantenerse en el tiempo, bajo el esquema de gratuidad, ya que representan el **Aporte Humanitario** más relevante que los miembros de la **FAVTáchira** ofrecemos al pueblo de nuestra región. Esas pesquisas se han llevado a cabo, producto de la labor y experiencia mancomunada y altruista de diferentes grupos de voluntarios que han trabajado en colaboración con nuestra **FAVTáchira**. En cada oportunidad, atendemos entre **200 y 300 personas en un solo día**, para lo cual debemos contar con un grupo de **80 Voluntarios**, aproximadamente. Hasta los momentos, hemos llevado a cabo **11 jornadas**; 6 en **San Cristóbal**, y 5 en otros municipios; desde el año 2013, hasta la fecha.
