*Netflix announced that the Zombie Apocalypse will visit the streaming platform when the new live-action **"RESIDENT EVIL"** series premieres this summer, specifically on **July 14**.* ***Lance Reddick** will headline the series as Alex Wesker alongside fellow cast members **Ella Balinska, Adeline Rudolph, Tamara Smart, Paola Nunez and Siena Agudong** who, in a new, spiraling narrative that takes place in '2036', which is more than 14 years after the T-Virus causes the fall of civilization.* *While this premise may sound eerily familiar to our ears in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic, that virus released in the fictional world of Resident Evil (or Biohazard in Japanese) is the work of a sinister pharmaceutical company known as the **Umbrella Corporation**. Instead of sickening people with respiratory ailments, it turns them into ferocious zombies and all manner of abominable creatures.* *I emphasize that this story is supposedly going to focus on **Jade Wesker**, a new character in the Wesker family, who will have to navigate the post-apocalyptic world and learn the truth about her family and their connection to the Umbrella Corporation.* *Below I show you the official artwork provided by Netflix as the first teaser for the upcoming series.*
