The Greater Meadow-Rue is a distinctive and graceful perennial plant that belongs to the buttercup family, Ranunculaceae. Native to much of Europe and temperate Asia, this species thrives in moist, fertile soils in meadows, woodland clearings, riverbanks, and damp grasslands. Flowers:The flowers are what truly set this plant apart. Blooming in airy, frothy panicles, the flowers lack true petals and are composed mainly of long, filamentous stamens that give them a fluffy, cloud-like look.
