She is from the interior of Aceh/Indonesia, more accurately in Baroh Kuta bate village, Jungka Gajah/North Aceh. She has lived alone for thirteen years after her husband passed away in 2004. She has three sons, but they do not live with her, they are all married. She lives in an old wooden hut (as you can see in the picture). Despite her old age, she still works very hard. She herds cows and goats. This is very hard work for a woman her age, and her body can't handle it anymore. An old woman like this should be able to enjoy life, not working until she brakes her back at this age.

Sometimes she also gets a little money from her son, but that is very rare. The only time she has enough money to eat normally is when she get money from her son couple of times during the year, the rest of the time she barely gets by.
