A Brief Recap Of Our Project

The aim of our project is to reward people for their efforts and to publish reports of biodiversity data contributed or cataloged by Steemians giving due credits to the contributors.
The Steem Biodiversity Project is a non-profit effort based on community support and contributions. We'll also try to use our funds to help deserving fellow Steemians contribute more than they could (without our support) towards the goal of the project. The remaining funds will be used for giving remunerations to the people actively working as scientists and those helping in managing this project.

We started working fully 2 weeks ago on 9^th January 2019. The past two weeks (Week-1, 2) of our project have been great and interesting with your support...

A Brief Overview of Developments in the Past Week...

Our project has made huge leaps in progress in the past week!! The most important one is that...we are now a bigger organisation!!

1. We Are Joining Hands With @adalger 's Amazing Nature Community!

About the Amazing Nature Contest in the words of @adalger (its creator): >I am a huge lover of nature and really enjoy to take pictures of all the lovely things that surround me every day, no matter if those are plants, animals or landscapes. I found Steemit to be a brilliant place to find and watch nature pictures from all over the world. Now I that I got in touch with one nature vlogger here on steemit, I found that I enjoy this too ^^ There is such a diversity of great content out there, thanks to all of you, from different perspectives and out of various motivations. I would like to collect all those beautiful and amazing stories in a compilation, also I am not sure if this will be a weekly, monthly, or occasional one on the end, so that you can all benefit from the beauty that we are facing all the time, but so often are not able to appreciate in the modern times we are living in. > Since our aims and objectives were complementary to each other and very much the same, we decided to join our projects for the good of both...and here we are!!

We are quite excited...as you can see from the sheer size of the logos!! 😂!!

1. Our Server: DNA (Earlier: SBioP) is better than it was ever before!!

Our Discord server is ever-evolving, you'll never find it the same!!😂

This is the place where all the action happens and will happen in future..., what you see here is just the culmination of all that...!! This is the reason many of our reports keep emphasizing on its current status, and improvements made.

3. We Curated 70 Posts This Week!

Last week, we could only support 32 posts.
This week, we could more than double our reach. It is all thanks to @tibfox's efforts who could help us automate our system so that the curators can efficiently curate deserving posts!! We are unable to provide the `Raw Curation Log` though as we did last week because of the number of posts!! The Road Ahead...

1. Our Road To Success: An Active and Enthusiastic Community

We think we can only stay alive by allowing the community to participate extensively in our project. After all, this project is "By The People, For The People" We really look forward to interacting with as many people as we can!

2. We Are In Search Of `Experts / Scientists`:

We really need experts who can help us in identifying plants/animals....so, if you are one, please join us! We'll be very happy.

3. We Are Shifting To @dna.steem:

As we already exlpained, the project merger required us to change our name...and with it our official account. This is the reason from now on, we'll be posting from the new @dna.steem account. Thanks for sparing your valuable time!
