As I told here , fake news are just fables , based on a shared belief a given society wants to believe, propagate, preserve.

In term of truth/no-truth, this can apply to any kind of story: there is no evidence Jesus has walked on the water, by example, as much there are no mDNA evidences that european jews are mother-offspring of any originary tribe coming from the middle east. (mDNA is only propagated mother-to-offspring). Nevertheless, both the christian society and the jew society are keeping preserving, propagating and believing this, just because they want to keep a belief which is a shared belief.

When a tale which is different from facts is propagated it may succeed or not. The most common reason such a tales are succeeding is that they propagate a belief which is already shared. In the example of pizzagate the tale was "The elites are abusing the young generations in a disgusting way, to fulfill some horrible appetite, under the inspiration of a evil ideology".

So to create a tale on top of it was easy just translating abstract concepts into symbols:

Evil ideology -> Satanism.
Horrible appetite -> Pedofilia.
Abused young generations -> childs.

so basically, the way to create a successful fake news can be structured in a easy process. Of course there is an ingredient missing: motivation. In order a fake news to survive, you need a lot of people to spread it, to enrich with details during time, to protect it against debunking. This is worth thousand of hours of men time, so that there is the need of an highly motivated crew to do that.

Now, the issue is: what is motivating all that people to fight a battle against a non-existing crime, which is just a symbol of an actual issue? There are many forces motivating people, and most of them may be destroyed. If you take a "positive" force like love, this will end when(if) the loved one dies, or says "no", or divorces, or disappoints you.

So to use "negative" forces is easy, because there is little way to destroy the motivation: if your motivation comes from frustration because you had little achievements , there is little risk your frustration will disappear. So that motivation coming from failures are stronger motivations, than the ones coming from achievements.

Let's go to build a story , as an example. We base it on that:

So, imagine millions of people which are too fat, in the USA. And imagine they can't help themselves to lose weight. Since bariatric surgery is only paid after 120Kg of weight, but beauty standards are ostracizing people much before of this , we are pretty sure to have a bunch of frustrated people which is too fat, barely ostracized, and frustrated because they cannot help themselves.

Of course a good specialist could help analyzing their diet and helping them, and also no eating education is made in american schools (like here in Germany), specialist are expensive, and there are many , many fake diets which aren't working at all. Also, healthy food in the USA is more expensive than trash food. So apparently, a not-so-rich person which is overweight , is into a culprit: ostracized, helpless, and frustrated.

The perfect target for a fake news.

So first, we need to understand what they believe already, how they see the issue. They feel like that: "the fashion industry is keeping standards which are too high for me, aiming to have me ostracized , emarginate, deprived. This standards seems to me aimed to privilege an elite of rich , slim, nice looking people. They will take all the good jobs just because of how they look like during their interviews".

So now:

We have the evil: The fashion Industry. Let's call them "The Glamourians"
We have the plot: to steal the better jobs. Let's give it a name: "Desk Invasion".

so now we need some explanations : while it may be true that the Glamourians are setting such a high beauty standards to get a "Desk Invasion", it is not clear how and why those victims of the plan aren't good looking as well. It must happen something which prevents them to be slim and nice looking.

So we absolutely need something hidden which is well known by people: are you sure we need so many GSM towers for driving all the mobile devices? How it comes that a single antenna can drive 100 million TV and you need a GSM tower on each city block? Uhmm.... strange, isn't it?

You see? They place all that GSM antenna, plus the WiFi at your home, to make them obese. And then, when you are ugly because of this, you can't get the same job, because of "Sizeism" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sizeism) ".

So now we have almost everything we need for the story:

We have the evil: The fashion Industry. Let's call them "The Glamourians"
We have the plot: to steal the better jobs. Let's give it a name: "Desk Invasion".
We have the method: to flood everybody with EM waves, in order to get obese. "EM Fattening"

so we need the last part: winners and losers, or if you prefer, the good and the evil. Victimism is a pillar of fake news , because victimism pays in terms of self-esteem. If you are a victim, not only the counterpart is the evil : you have now the RIGHT to fight for your rights.

So to define victims and evils, is better to refer to a very old equations: "victims=us", "evil=them". So the victims must be the american working class, and the evil must be some stranger. So, when some of this people feels like: the fashion industry is keeping standards which are too high for me, aiming to have me ostracized , emarginate, deprived. This standards seems to me aimed to privilege an elite of rich , slim, nice looking people. They will take all the good jobs just because of how they look like during their interviews".

So let's add something: "after a job interview, was some "different person", prefered? Let's keep the connection with the Glamourians, and say your competitor was gay.

So here the story takes place: since most of fashion stylists are gay, we have who the "Glamourians" are. Looks better? Uhm... still a piece missing. Some traitor. One of "us" which is working for "them". We can't use the current Apple's CEO because he is gay, so not one of "us", then we need someone else. Wait: who is placing this GSM towers, and the WiFi antenna everywhere? Who is pretending we need all that thousand towers and little Wifi devices everywhere, while the a single radio AM/FM antenna can broadcast almost the whole country? Who is telling everybody they need WiFi and GSM, when there are better solutions? (somewhere in the world someone always claims to have a better dream-technology, not a problem).

Well, in the USA, it's very easy to say: AT&T and Verizon, more or less. So we have two traitors: the CEO of AT&T and Verizon are helping the Glamourians to get everybody obese, while setting severe beauty standards, in order to get only nice looking gay people into any job. And the poor straight people to struggle into their XXXL pants , while doing some shit of job.

So now we finished:

Now the plot is complete. Almost all actors are there, and we have almost all ingredients. But this is not enough: we also need some flavour. We have the ingredients for the story, we have some "scientific" evidence that EM waves are related to obesity, (see the links above), we need some spicy and some flavour.

EPIC: you need the story to be epic , so you need to mention some terrible events happening.
SEXY: you need the story to trigger libido. You need to put sex, hot sex, FORBIDDEN sex, in the story.
EVIDENCE: you need to put evidences of what happened : how to use real numbers to proof fake statements.
