Crazy that I got scammed but I wasn't scammed in crypto this time like you'd probably expect if you're a regular listener of the Uncle Project Podcast. They got me using really popular websites like ZipRecruiter and Gmail. These scam artists are getting a lot craftier in 2024, can't have a false sense of security just because we're using reputable websites more. I plan to learn and move on from the situation but I wanted to spread some awareness of some of the crazy fishing scams out there. If you ever do end up in one of these types of situations where you verify information with a scammer that you shouldn't have, there are things you can do like getting a new Driver's License number and freezing your credit, but it's best to avoid the situation all together.
