What is Compassion?

Many people do not want to live an uncomfortable life style of being another's burden bearer. They sometimes throw words at people, using slangs and insults. What would you do if someone's pot is burning on fire and you are the only person around when he or she is not there? What would you do if you see some other person’s’ children running in the rain when there is lightning? What would you do if you see a child carrying flour in the rain? There are so many instances where we need to show compassion at home but most people will always say; "it's not my thing, how does it concern me" When you show compassion to others, you will in turn receive a compassionate treatment from another person. Compassion is like karma. Calling someone's attention to something that can hurt him or another person or that is not in its rightful position and needs adjustments is an act of compassion. There are a thousand ways to be compassionate towards other people. We just need to show love so everyone and that way we will discover that we are more compassionate in most or everything that we do.
