Its your dearest steemian @idyyleo again with my daily dairy game where I share with you things happening in my life and around me. Today's dairy game is about the bad breakfast I had today which has changed my mood entirely. This experience was not planned by me honestly, it just happened and I was to late to control the situation.

It all started early this morning at about 5:00am, I woke up and gave my brother 3 cups of rice to cook so we can eat and go for our different morning work. He blew the rice since it was a sand rice and selected out the few sand he could find and then proceeded to put the rice on fire. He parboiled the rice and put the pot back on fire for the rest of the cooking. Since this was not the first time he has cooked for the whole house before, I was confident he will deliver the food successfully.

Unfortunately, this time around the story was different. I don't know what happened but accidentally, the water he added into the rice was too much and this caused the rice meal to become extra soft and sticky such that it was looking like eba (molded garri). I was very upset that I began quarrelling with him.

Honestly, I didn't expect the food to go wrong because I trusted his expertise and all so naturally I was angry but my anger did not solve anything and I had to eat the meal like that because there is no room for waste in my family.

To make the food more enjoyable and palatable, I had to eat the rice with the banana I bought the previous day. I know my brother did not overcook the rice on purpose, mistakes happen but it literally made my morning and breakfast bad.

Despite my anger, I still took out few minutes to educate my brother on how to monitor food so that it wouldn't get overcooked next time. I told him to always feel the texture of the food so as to know that amount of water to add that will bring the food to normal cooked standard. He took the advice and I am sure he will do better.
