The cherry tree is owned by my landlord, who has a rather particular mind, a way of reasoning that sometimes borders on the incomprehensible, as in this specific case, when a few weeks ago he made some statements, one in particular, that we could pick as many cherries as we wanted, but those at man's height were his, because he didn't want to work hard to eat those fruits...

Coincidentally, I didn't take the ladder to create the image you see, no, I just stretched out my arm, but not that much, these, like so many others really, were not collected, they rotted on the branches, because there were too many, he couldn't eat more than that many, with the brilliant final result that the majority rotted or were eaten by birds, the only thing that really bothered me, in this story, is the greed, the sense of hoarding, the one based on the fact that I have to have them, even if they go bad, the cherries are just an example, with his broad beans in the garden he did the same thing, in essence, to use the correct term, he's a toad, a selfish person, because first, first, first and first comes him, with his needs, his requirements, his consumption, his necessities, then, perhaps, all the others, for goodness sake, in life you have to take care of yourself, I don't doubt it, but those cherries every year they rot in abundance, it means that something wrong is happening...

Belle, vero, queste ciliegie? Sono da un po' sul ramo, al punto tale che sono diventate marce, non più buone, loro e tante altre, che non sono state raccolte in tempo, perché quell'albero, posto appena fuori dal piazzale di casa, le produce tutte insieme, perché non è mai stato curato, né potato, è poco più di un albero spontaneo, ma la cosa bella, veramente bella, è un'altra, che vi racconto oggi...

Il ciliegio è di proprietà del mio padrone di casa, che ha una testa abbastanza particolare, un modo di ragionare che a volte è al limite dell'incomprensibile, come in questo specifico caso, quando alcune settimane fa lui fece alcune dichiarazioni, una nello specifico, quella che potevamo raccogliere quante ciliegie volevamo, ma quelle ad altezza d'uomo erano le sue, perché lui non voleva far fatica per mangiare quei frutti...

Guarda caso, non ho preso la scala per realizzare l'immagine che vedete, no, ho appena allungato il braccio, ma non più di tanto, queste, come tante ma tante altre davvero, non sono state raccolte, sono marcite sui rami, perché erano troppe, lui più di tante non ne poteva mangiare, con il brillante risultato finale che la maggioranza sono marcite o mangiate dagli uccelli, l'unica cosa che mi ha dato veramente fastidio, in questa storia, è la cupidigia, il senso dell'accaparramento, quello basato sul fatto che io ne devo avere, anche a costo che vadano a male, le ciliegie sono solamente un esempio, con le sue fave nell'orto ha fatto la stessa cosa, in buona sostanza, per utilizzare il termine corretto, è un rospo, un egoista, perché prima, prima, prima e prima ancora viene lui, con le sue esigenze, i suoi bisogni, i suoi consumi, le sue necessità, poi, forse, tutti gli altri, per carità, nella vita occorre tenere a se stessi, non lo metto in dubbio, ma quelle ciliegie tutti gli anni marciscono in abbondanza, vuol dire che accade qualcosa di sbagliato...
