Questa settimana torno con la mia rubrica targata Bikend, prendendo come spunto le foto scattate durante una gara ciclistica amatoriale svoltasi nella provincia di Massa-Carrara. La competizione era l'ultima della stagione ciclistica amatoriale su strada organizzata nella zona. Il percorso era costituito da un circuito da ripetersi più volte, e terminava dopo una salita di circa 3 chilometri sulla quale ho effettuato gli ultimi scatti. Come al solito, ho raggiunto il posto in sella alla mia bici e mi sono spostato più volte per ritrarre gli atleti da varie angolazioni. Ormai conosco abbastanza le zone più congrue a questo scopo, così ho potuto recarmi sulla salita finale con un po' di anticipo. A casa, una volta raccolte le foto migliori, le ho rimodellate creando una versione monocromatica che mostro appunto in questo post. Ho modificato le luci e le ombre, la luminosità, ho aggiunto qualche vignettatura e ho terminato con la "firma". Al pari di altre occaioni, il risultato non è certo perfetto, ma penso adatto allo scopo. Spero che ti piaccia.

This week I return with my Bikend initiative, taking inspiration from the photos I took during an amateur cycling race held in the province of Massa-Carrara. The competition was the last of the amateur road cycling season organized in this area. The route consisted of a circuit to be repeated several times, and a finish line after a climb of about 3 kilometers. I took the last shots some hundreds meters before the finish banner. As usual, I reached the place on my bike and moved several times to portray the athletes from various angles. By now, I know the most suitable areas for this purpose well enough, so I was able to go to the final climb a little in advance. At home, once I had collected the best photos, I edited them creating a monochrome version that I show in this post. I modified lights and shadows, the brightness, added some vignettings and finished with the "signature". Like other occasions, the result is certainly not perfect, but I think it's suitable for the purpose. I hope you liked it.
