Se tutto cambiasse? 🇮🇹🇬🇧

Questo pezzo, se vogliamo, potrebbe essere la continuazione (e l'epilogo) del pezzo pubblicato la scorsa settimana riguardante quanto ci sia ancora di "politico" nella mia frequentazione dell'altro lato del bloqueo.
Se tutto cambiasse?
Se per mille ragioni il sistema attuale politico collassasse ed al suo posto arrivasse qualcosa di diverso, abbattendo cio' che resta della Revolucion, continuerei ad andare Cuba?

Intanto inizio col dire che sono sempre alla ricerca del famoso Piano B.
Quando ero a Cuba in primavera vi avevo parlato del tizio che conosco da anni e che avevo rivisto nella piscina tunera che in inverno va in Madagascar, potrebbe essere una delle opzioni, come quella di tornare in Thai.
Come ho scritto nel precedente pezzo resta qualcosa di politico nel mio vivere l'isola, sicuramente pero' non e' la ragione per cui continuo ad andarci.

Ma poi, esistono ancora cosi' tante tracce di Socialismo oggi a Cuba, oppure gia' siamo oltre tutto questo visto che il terziario e' gia' in mano quasi completamente al privato?
Se invece del partito unico nascessero una pletora di partitini, finanziati dai soliti noti, che si spartissero il potere per me cambierebbe poi cosi' tanto la situazione?
Romanticamente direi che verrebbe meno il Mito, anche se mi rendo conto che starei rimpiangendo un qualcosa che se e' finito era forse giusto che finisse.

Il dubbio e'; se diventasse una Santo Domingo qualsiasi sarebbe ancora per me cosi' attrattiva?
Sicuramente tutto sarebbe in mano ai privati, ci sarebbe un migliore rapporto qualita' prezzo ma i prezzi salirebbero, le case de renta a pochi spiccioli ce le scorderemo.
Probabilmente piu' delinquenza in giro, ma anche piu' benessere per chi puo' permetterselo.
Oggi come oggi mi verrebbe da dire che, per noi, forse non sarebbe una tragedia, fatta salva la fine di un qualcosa in cui molti di noi hanno creduto.

Per il discorso ludico cambierebbe poco, c'era prima della Rivoluzione, c'e' oggi, ci sara' domani su questo non ho dubbio, magari il contesto sarebbe meno....easy, ma certe cose non muoiono mai.
Parliamo di uno scenario che, ad oggi, non vedo probabilissimo, il consenso nel paese malgrado le difficolta', resta a livelli accettabili a prescindere da cio' che ci racconta il chulo di turno o da quello che si legge in rete.
Pero' e' una riflessione che va fatta, prima o poi, sperando (per noi) che resti tale.

IF EVERYTHING CHANGED?

This piece, if you like, could be a continuation (and epilogue) of the piece published last week regarding how much of the "political" aspect still remains in my experience on the other side of the blockade.
If everything changed?
If, for a thousand reasons, the current political system collapsed and something different took its place, destroying what remains of the Revolution, would I continue to visit Cuba?

First, I'll start by saying that I'm always looking for the famous Plan B.
When I was in Cuba in the spring, I told you about the guy I've known for years and whom I'd seen again in the Tunera pool who goes to Madagascar in the winter. That could be one of the options, like returning to Thailand.
As I wrote in the previous piece, there remains something political about my experience on the island, but it's certainly not the reason I keep going there.

But then, are there still so many traces of Socialism in Cuba today, or are we already beyond all of this, given that the service sector is already almost entirely in private hands?
If instead of a single party, a plethora of small parties were to emerge, financed by the usual suspects, sharing power, would the situation really change that much in my opinion?
Romantically, I'd say the Myth would disappear, although I realize I'd be regretting something that, if it's over, was perhaps right to end.

The question is: if it became just another Santo Domingo, would it still be so attractive to me?
Surely everything would be in private hands; there would be a better quality-price ratio, but prices would rise; we'd forget about cheap rental homes.
Probably more crime, but also more prosperity for those who can afford it.
Today, I'd say that, for us, perhaps it wouldn't be such a tragedy, barring the end of something many of us believed in.

As for the game, it wouldn't change much; it was there before the Revolution, it's there today, and it will be there tomorrow—I have no doubt about that. Perhaps the context would be less...easy, but some things never die.
We're talking about a scenario that, as of today, I don't see as very likely. The consensus in the country, despite the difficulties, remains at acceptable levels, regardless of what the chulo on duty tells us or what we read online.
However, it's a reflection that needs to be made, sooner or later, hoping (for us) that it remains so.
