Ogni giorno monitoro la situazione voli per Cuba e devo dire che il quadro, ad ora, e' abbastanza desolante.
Intanto devo ancora decidere se fare due soggiorni da un mese e mezzo l'uno o soltanto uno di tre mesi, sarei orientato per la prima scelta.
Volare su Cuba, con la contrazione del turismo e' diventato un problema, su Holguin non c'e' praticamente piu' nulla, dall'Italia, mentre i prezzi sull'Avana sono decisamente lievitati.

Tolta l'ultima volta, in questi anni ho sempre volato con Air France, da Torino volo comodo e veloce, compagnia aerea seria, quando ci sono stati problemi sono arrivati puntuali i voucher per i voli successivi.
Ho sempre volato fra i 500 e i 550 euro ida y vuelta, ora con quella cifra ci fai solo una tratta, ad andare bene.
Però forse...

Iberia e' sempre abbastanza cara e poi si vola da Milano, altre compagnie siamo sempre sopra i 700 euro.
Resta Air Europa che ho utilizzato l'ultima volta da Malpensa, i costi variano ogni giorno, ho trovato lo stesso volo a poco piu' di 500 fino a piu' di 600.
La tengo proprio come ultima opzione perche' siamo davvero a raschiare il fondo del barile, raramente ho visto una compagnia cosi' scalacagnata.

Il fatto che ci siano pochi voli ha fatto si che quelli operativi siano diventati carissimi, la qualita', vera o presunta, e' scesa a discapito del cliente, come sempre.
Ci sono poi situazioni "esotiche" come Air Turchia, pero' anche solo il pensiero di volare dalla parte opposta rispetto alla destinazione mi mette un po' a disagio.
C'e' Air China da Madrid e volendo da Milano ma devo ancora capire bene come funziona.

Del resto chi come me viaggia solo col bagaglio a mano potrebbe anche pensare di volare ad esempio da Madrid, arrivando dall'Italia con un volo differente, non compreso nel pacchetto, infatti tengo d'occhio anche World2fly che vola dalla capitale spagnola sull'Avana.
Sui 3 mesi i prezzi sono piu' alti, ma in quel caso risparmierei un volo quindi posso anche spendere qualcosa di piu'.
Dedico 5 minuti al giorno alla mia ricerca, ne vale la pena, spero in questo mese di trovare la soluzione giusta.

FLIGHT SITUATION

I monitor the flight situation to Cuba every day, and I have to say that the picture, so far, is quite bleak.
Meanwhile, I still have to decide whether to take two one-and-a-half-month stays or just one three-month stay; I'm leaning toward the former.
With the decline in tourism, flying to Cuba has become a problem. There's practically nothing left to Holguin from Italy, while prices to Havana have significantly increased.

Aside from the last time, I've always flown with Air France. The flight from Turin was comfortable and fast, a reputable airline. When there were problems, vouchers for subsequent flights arrived promptly.
I've always flown between €500 and €550 one-way, now that's just one leg, if you're lucky.
But maybe...

Iberia is still quite expensive, and then you fly from Milan; other airlines always cost over €700.
There's Air Europa, which I used last time from Malpensa. Prices vary daily; I've found the same flight for just over €500 to over €600.
I'm keeping it as a last resort because we're really scraping the bottom of the barrel; I've rarely seen such a disorganized airline.

The fact that there are so few flights has meant that the ones that are operating have become incredibly expensive. Quality, real or perceived, has declined to the detriment of the customer, as always.
Then there are "exotic" options like Air Turkey, but even the thought of flying from the opposite direction to my destination makes me a little uneasy.

There's Air China from Madrid and, if you prefer, from Milan, but I still have to figure out how it works.

Besides, those like me who only travel with carry-on luggage might also consider flying from Madrid, arriving from Italy on a different flight not included in the package. In fact, I'm also keeping an eye on World2fly, which flies from the Spanish capital to Havana.
The prices are higher for three months, but in that case I'd save a flight, so I can spend a little more.
I spend five minutes a day researching; it's worth it. I hope to find the right solution this month and share it with you.
