Weekly contest- Best Diary Game|| A day of sober reflection

Hello Steemians from all over the world. I trust you all feel blessed and super fantastic. Today is Friday and the beginning of the weekend. So a happy weekend to you all. I'll be sharing with you all about my day. Please read on.

MORNING
I woke up this morning at 5 am. I started with my devotion and when I was done, I stood up to prepare for school. I warmed up my leftover food, took my bath, got dressed and left for school. I got to school and to my lecture hall.

I noticed the class was a bit scanty today and I wondered why. Then I concluded maybe because we weren't shown if the lecturers were going to come around today. The first class was to start by 8 am, it was time yet the lecturer didn't come. He came a little late and it was a pharmacology course. The lecture was to be held for 2 hours. The lecture started and after the first class, most students went home thinking the next lecturer wasn't coming. But then she came and taught the few of us anyway.

Today, I heard about the death of one of our schoolmates who was studying in a medical laboratory on the same level with me. This was a very beautiful and talk lady. It came as a shock to me and I couldn't help but ask for details about her death. Then I found out she had been hospitalized for a whole semester. Kai! Such a sickness must have really troubled her.

This goes to show how unpredictable life can be, that someone you see today, the next day, they are no more. Life can really be unfair. When I was still thinking about that one, I went online to see that my former coursemate in my former school died from an accident with a pregnancy. I was really saddened to hear that, two lives gone. This life is really nothing. And we must be ready at all times because we don't know when we will leave this world.

AFTERNOON
After the class, I went home immediately because I needed to prepare and attend the service of songs of one of our state overseers in church that died. It was a sunny afternoon, yet I still had to walk in the sun, I got home tired. I prepared anyway, I also practiced the hymns that were to be sung because I would be playing my violin.
When it was 2 pm, I left the house with my roommate to where the bus was gonna pick us.

We got to the church venue and we started our practice. We learned the song we were gonna sing and also practiced playing the hymns with our instruments.

EVENING
The service of songs started and it progressed from one activity to another. We sang lots of hymns and also listened to some testimonials about the deceased.

During the service of songs
We listened to exhortation and it was another time to reflect about our lives on earth as we too will have to trod the path of death. So today came with a full package of events that came pointing to the fact that we are just pilgrims here on earth. This is not our home. We are all going to leave this earth someday, any time, any day. But the question is, are you ready to face eternity? Are you ready to face your maker? We really have to be ready by living a life pleasing to God here on earth. Because eternity is real. I pray that God will help us to be ready.
