Drawing a lion has always been one of the most rewarding challenges in my artistic journey. Known as the “king of the jungle,” the lion embodies power, courage, and grace—qualities I aimed to capture in the pencil drawing above. ## step by step process ## step 1 Once I have gathered all my materials and made sure it was ready, I began by lightly sketching the head of the lion , I carefully darkened the pupils and added small white highlights using an eraser to give the eyes a realistic glint. ## step 2 After finishing that part, I then drew the mane. ## step 3 Next I lightly sketched the lion’s body using simple shapes. I used straight and curved lines to establish the posture and leg placement. ## step 5 Then I added grounding elements like shadows under the paws and a few tufts of grass to give the lion a natural setting. ## step 6 For the final touches, I added shadows and darker lines to the drawing and lower mane to give it a realistic and bold look and then my drawing is complete.
