Good day beautiful ladies of steem, I am thrilled to tell my own story. Thanks to @ruthjoe for bringing up this contest.

## What Happened

On Tuesday last week, I got a call from a number that was not saved on my phone so I picked it up and inquire to know who was on the line. It was a man's voice, he called my name and this kinda made me feel relaxed. I asked where I knew him from and he explained. Although I couldn't recall meeting him before as I have met a lot of people and given my number out.

Normally I do not meet up people but this guy got my attention. He said he was working on a story (content) that would bring in money when approved and he needed my expert proofreading and editing skills since I write stories sometimes. I got an address to where he was and agreed to meet him up to see the work he had done so far and how I could help.

The location he gave me was far from where I was so he agreed to take care of my transportation when I get there. Truth be told, I was scared, I didn't want to go meet him but the other part of me wanted to see who this guy was, if I truly knew him or have met him before so I decided to take the risk of going to see him.

When I got to the location he gave me, I gave him a call to come outside. Instead of coming outside he responded on the phone and told me to enter the black gate I was seeing by my right hand. I looked at the gate and noticed that it had a tall fence around it, at this point my heartbeat increased cos I could sense danger. I kept persuading him to come out and when he did, I discovered I didn't know him, haven't seen his face before.

That's when I knew I was in danger, probably about to be kidnapped or used for ritual. Discovering this, I refused to enter into the building because once that gate is locked there will be no way for me to run or shout for help. I kept beckoning on him to cross the gate and come out and meet me on the main road I was standing so passerbys will see him with me at least for my safety but he refused. Immediately, I turned my back and worked away leaving him at his compound.

## What You Have Learned From It

This experience made me learn never to meet anybody at their house if I am unsure of who they are. It also thought me to always follow my instinct because had it mean I followed my initial instinct and stayed back, I would have been saved from the entire experience and drama I experience. Also after I left that place, I went home and gave thanks to God for not allowing me to be a prey for the devil because who knows what his intentions towards me could have been. And I am urging all ladies to learn from my experience, it will save you a great deal.
