*** # INTRODUCTION *** The most memorable day of my life happens to be my first experience on a plane. It all started from the morning I saw my National youth service camping letter on my portal. My location for camping was stated “Zamfara” and I reside in Imo state. *** # HOW IT ALL STARTED OUT *** It was the first week of January and I really wanted to have my NYSC done by the end of 2021. I didn’t want to continue my service in 2022 because I had calculated myself. Seeing that there was nothing that could be done about the location and the camping resumption was in 3 days from the day I noticed, I had to start getting ready for the journey. I started getting ready for the journey the same day. I knew some of my friends who were also posted to the north and when I enquires how they planned on journeying down, they said through land because they could not afford a flight ticket but I had promised myself that if I was ever going on a long journey at this point in life, that it was going to be through air. ![divider2.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQ8iCtnUXw7F8gPBPwZYio1ELbBdbAyaESr6MaCMNFYNN/divider2.jpg)

*** # BOOKING MY FLIGHT TO ABUJA *** On that note, I went ahead to make enquiries from my elder brother who was already used to flying to Lagos and Abuja. I enquired about the process and what it took to travel through air to my destination but unfortunately after searching for a flight from Owerri to Zamfara on different airlines, I discovered none could go that far. ![71DC377C-2176-47DF-94D2-D509B61943AF.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXBm7nA9phfG4SaUWdq45kTypwiNA3yhABdkyzUCq4bo9/71DC377C-2176-47DF-94D2-D509B61943AF.jpeg) I only saw airlines that could only reach Abuja, so knowing the distance from owerri to Abuja from my last traveling experience to Abuja I knew it was worth taking a flight even to Abuja before proceeding on the journey. So I checked on my brother’s laptop to know how long was the flight time and how to book it. The flight time was about 45 mins to Abuja and the cost was about N28,000. *** # MY FLIGHT JOURNEY TO ABUJA *** The flight was a better option for me. And so I booked it and waited till it was time for my journey and I went to the Airport at owerri. It was my first time of entering insides the airline so I was excited but coordinated. We were called serially and according to the class of ticket. When it got to my turn I moved with my hand purse and boarded the plane then quickly located my seat. At this moment had to start taking pictures as seen below because it was a whole new experience for me. I have always imagined what it would be like to fly on air.

*** # ARRIVING AT ABUJA AIRPORT *** After all had boarded, the plane took its course and ascended gradually in the air, Mehnnn! It felt goood and a bit scary. Everyone were used to it or probably was pretending like I was so I composed myself and enjoyed the journey. *** # CONCLUSION *** Journeying on air is quite an awesome experience for many that are yet to try that out. I’ve flown twice now and will be flying again this year on a more longer journey.
