Soo sad that today millions of people are victims of kidney failure, stroke, heart disease, damaged lungs and respiratory systems as a result of smoking weed or cigarettes and some other things people smoke. History has proven that over 17millions are seriously sick with one disease or another as a result of smoking. Millions are victims of tuberculosis, eye diseases, rheumatoid arthritis all as a result of smoking, but funny enough millions also join the gangs of smokers everyday. Unfortunately in my area about 70% of the occupants are smokers and they range from the age of 16-80yrs of age. #### What make people to start smoking I believe most people start smoking due to influence from friends especially the young ones are as a result of negative peer pressures and some also inherited it from thier parents. #### What are the health implications of smoking. Like I mentioned earlier smoking has no positive impact to the body instead it shortens life span, that is why even the company that produces cigarettes warns that smokers are liable to die young. Smoking causes cancer of the lungs, cancer of the respiratory system, cancer of the liver and even cancer of the month. Smoking causes a month disease known as halitosis, and causes tooth decay and discoloration. My love for JEHOVAH moves me to say No to smoking, this is the number one reason why I never smoke. 2) Secondly, Smoking do not contribute to my life positively it can only cause harm to my health so I love my life so much and cherish my body as well, so I say NO to smoking. 3) Thirdly smoking harms other people, Inhaling another person's smell of smoking is toxic and can cause cancer which can lead to death, and the bible encourages me to love my neighbor as myself, I don't want to hurt my neighbors or my friends. #### Conclusion Smoking can be addictive because it contains nicotine but a smoker can break through smoking, yes by studying the Bible and meditating on God's view, then pray to God about it will help such ones to break through from such habit.
