I greet you all today, I hope you enjoyed reading my previous article where I briefly introduced the topic of marketing. Today I would be sharing with us another important part of marketing. You can call it a skill or a method of creating awareness of your market to induce sales in your business. Below this sections I would be writing extensively on the two major method one can apply in order to gain massive profits/gains. But before this thought of creating awareness comes in mind, the marketer must have realized that he/she is not getting much attention from his target Audience, or that he needs to expand or increase his territory. It can also be that he just started his business or just moved into an area filled with competing products. When one begins to see the need for more sales what a smart-thinking-up-to-date marketer would begin to do is to quickly start: **-Analysis/survey of what the society needs from his product line.** Example a beverage manufacturer finding out that his product has alot of sugar. **-Comparing and contrasting these new findings.** Example trying out the taste of other beverage competitors and noting the differences. **-Risk Evaluation.** Example would changing the taste of his beverage make him loose or gain more customers? **-Cost/budgeting.** How much would this cost him to carry out this change, how much is estimated to execute this, more or less?? **-Execution of Marketing strategy.** Finally began Operation-Reformulate-My-Beverages. Now these products have been reformulated, there are methods you can employ in other to make sales. This brings us to the sun heading in the next section below. ____ ##

Marketing Strategies

____ For a company to keep progressing and making sales among it's competing products, some methods or strategies are to be used, This includes; **-Advertising -Promotion** ____ ##

What Is Advertising?

____ Advertising is simply the process by which a marketer uses all possible mediums and medias to publicly create awareness that his product(whether goods or services) has entered the market and would be made available for customer's use. That is to say that advertising gives a marketer to show case his goods to people who have not heard about the product. It also gives a kind of edge over your competiting products since no other ones are doing this at the moment, your product would be the talk of the town. Also, some people have not yet tried your product before fit to some reasons, perhaps they feel that no other product can replace their favorite or that your goods are not popularly known yet. Advertising is the legal opportunity you have to convince them with your product's amazing quality they haven't yet known and trust me when I tell your product would increase sales one that quality is up to the standard of it's rival. **Advertising is generally facilitated by medias from local area covering medias such as; -Fliers -Banners -Stickers. To wide area coverage such as -Media houses: Examples; radio stations, television. -The Internet -billboards etc.** ____ ##

What Is Promotion?

____ Promotion is a form of marketing that makes use of incentives and some eye-catching and mouth-watering offers to entice customers to buy your product. Promotion involves the creativity and problem recognition and problem solving skills of a marketer to attract a customer by giving him/her a reason to buy that product instead of it completing products. You can also use it to show the customers what they are missing out on by not buying your own brand of product. There are several methods of promoting a product of which if a marketer properly applies it, would have a guaranteed handful of customers patronizing his brand. I would only be mentioning them in this post and on my next post I would be telling us in details how these marketing promotion strategies work. Some of the promotional strategies include; **-Pricing Off -Premium Offers -Use Of Freebies and Incentives -Surprise Packages and gifts -Discount Sales etc.** All these strategies are unique in it's own nature of usage and can be used based on a few reasons **-Marketer's preference -Cost Of operation -Duration of Promotion -Most Effective over time -Amount of Audience to catch** It is worthy to note that advertising is a passive form of marketing and doesn't guarantee you keeping those customers. What it does is merely to inform the people about a product. It does not make the customers crave your product or rush your services. It is generally gentle. Promotion on the other hand is the active from if marketing which uses incentives, freebies, discounts and other enticing methods to induce sales. The aim of this form of marketing is to legally and aggressively drive faithful customers to your product, customers whom these freebies have blinded and cannot buy from another product line because of these little things they gain from using your product. I hope you learnt a thing or two from this topic today. On my next post I would be discussing the different promotional strategies.
